Renaissance Ford Partners with American Red Cross to Host Community Blood Drive

Altavista, Virginia, August 7, 2024 – Renaissance Ford is pleased to announce its partnership with the American Red Cross to host a community blood drive on August 7, 2024. The event will take place from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at 1163 Wards Road, Altavista, VA 24517.

Jennifer Grove, spokesperson for Renaissance Ford, expressed the dealership’s commitment to supporting the community’s health needs through this initiative. “Renaissance Ford is committed to strengthening our community and helping meet hospital and patient needs through blood donations,” said Grove. “This blood drive is our way of giving staff, colleagues, and neighbors an opportunity to help save lives.”

Blood donations are crucial as blood is a perishable product that can only come from volunteer donors. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, maintaining a steady supply of blood products is vital, according to the Red Cross.

“We urge community members to donate blood and help ensure that patients in local hospitals have a supply of blood ready and waiting before an emergency occurs,” added Grove. “There’s no better feeling than knowing that your blood donation may give someone a second chance at life.”

Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with O negative, A negative, and B negative blood types, according to the Red Cross.
